Sunset at Sri Panwa

After all of yesterday’s adventuring, we thought we deserved an afternoon of pure decadence at the hotel.

We’re staying on the other side of the island now, at Sri Panwa.

A little birdy (Tom’s dad) told us that they have some of the best food on the island and that we’d better make the most of it.

When it comes to food, I do not need telling twice.

We headed for lunch at the pool bar, where we met this handsome chap!

Who makes me miss Custard terribly!

It was roasting today, so we cooled off with virgin mojitos.

And stuffed ourselves with all our favourites!

Prawn tempura maki rolls.

Spicy tuna.

Tobiko rolls.

Milly went all out with a wagyu steak ‘n’ chips.

Sashimi with yuzu dressing & chillies.

Little known fact: Chips are a health food if you eat them with chopsticks.

So we did.

By the time we finished lunch we were almost as full and hot as this little fella…

So moved to the pool to cool down.

As you can see, I am just the epitome of grace when it comes to crawling out of pools…

But Mills makes up for it with her gazelle like leaping!

We read our books and dried off in the last of the sun.

But to see off the very last drop of sun, we had to move. There were two beanbags whispering our names.

We pulled on dresses, a sweep of mascara and made our way to the top deck.

Where we we greeted with a helluva view…

Check us out lookin’ all fancy for a change!

We plonked ourselves down, as close as we could get to the setting sun and busied ourselves in the endless cocktails menu.

Then, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the show.

We weren’t the only ones!

It was the most breathtaking sunset and unspeakably romantic.

Milly announced that she’d even say yes if a Hobbit proposed up there… I was sorely tempted to test her resolve, but resisted.

But you know the best thing about being up there on those big, squidgy beanbags?

Hands-free cocktails!

No?

Ok. Just me then!
