Beef Club, Paris

In an effort to enjoy at least one meal in Paris that didn’t consist of snails, cheese and wine, we ventured a little further afield.

Strolling through the rainy streets, skating over the slick pavements, we twizzled our umbrellas and sang… just a little.

Even in a summer downpour, Paris doesn’t seem to lose its magic.

I’m wearing a bargainous find of a shirt! Ripped white jeans, Chanel bag, Jimmy Choos.

The umbrella & smile are both courtesy of my chap!

Oh and my Trinity Necklace is Silver May, naturally.

Beef Club is a very cool little steak and cocktail joint.

The menu is small but perfectly formed and the restaurant has something of a buzzy French – New York vibe to it.

The cocktails aren’t your classic “sex on the beach”/”cosmo” style bevvies. These are somewhat sophisticated liquid adventures.

They’re quite pretty, too!

We kicked off with oysters and terrine.

Before diving head first into our mains…

Cheeseburger for me, of course!

Succulent sticky ribs for him.

Mac n cheese to share.

Roasted artichokes.

But let’s just have another burger close up and appreciate this bad boy in all its beauty!

Look at those rivers of molten fromage!

I think this calls for a cheesy joke, don’t you?

What’s a cheese maker’s favourite type of music?

R ‘n’ Brie.

Half way through my deliciously juicy burger, I noticed that we had a rather jealous spectator.

A gentleman staring lustfully at our table, hoping that we might notice and share a morsel or two.

Not the most fortunate looking of gents, but very charming nonetheless.

We celebrated the end of supper with a few more rounds of cocktails… and a pudding to share.

One, single profiterole.

“ONE PROFITEROLE BETWEEN TWO?!” I hear you cry.

Well my friend, this is not just any profiterole.

This is the profiterole mothership.

Pastry stuffed with ice-cream and chantilly cream, just waiting to be bathed in warm, molten chocolate.

I was more than happy to oblige.

We devoured it with all the grace and decorum of two gorillas with the munchies.

A truly delicious meal, and somewhere a little bit different to our usual Parisian haunts.

I thoroughly recommend a trip.

Make sure you try the concombre cocktail and the pudding. The steaks are pretty famous too… although that burger was pretty spectacular, and the ribs were so tasty. Ok, you might need to make more than one trip!

Website here. Make sure you book.
