Our last day in Italy was spent underwater.
Well, mostly.
It was a beautiful, clear and brilliantly blue day, and we didn’t want to miss a drop of it.
After breakfast we headed right to the lake.
Having quite exhausted jumping in and out of the (rather lovely) hotel pool, we took to the lake.
We hired a little speed boat from a nearby town (they kindly deliver it to your deck if you ask nicely) and sped into the sunshine together.
Slowing now and then to play dream-house-hunting, which happens to be my favourite game (I blame my father).
We found a nice little spot for a swim and some lunch.

My bikini is by Heidi Klein (top/bottom), my necklace is Aunt Sponge and the sunnies are RB.
When you’re speeding along Lake Como with a fabulous half naked girl on the front of your boat, it’s pretty hard not to feel like James Bond!
I was particularly fond of that hidden little glass shack ^. I think I could live there quite happily.
Fish from the window and leap in for a cooling swim occasionally.
After a day of whizzing around we retired to the spa to cool our jets.
And then walked into the gardens for a pizza and one final dip.
Before falling into a car and snoozing all the way to airport.
It was the most magical mini-holiday. I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere as serenely beautiful and relaxing.
We stayed at The Grand Hotel Tremezzo (where we had a handy press discount) and I completely fell in love with the place. The service is second to none and I will absolutely be back… with my man in tow, because holy guacamole it is so bloody romantic!
Ti amo Italia. Hasta la vista, baby.
