This weekend I went to Glastonbury Festival.
For those who don’t know, Glasto is one of the world’s biggest and best loved music festivals.
It was started the day after Jimi Hendrix died, in 1970. Back then tickets cost £1 and came with free milk (it’s hosted on a dairy farm in Somerset).
1,500(ish) people attended.
It’s grown a bit since then.
This year 200,000 people flooded onto the land to enjoy some of the biggest acts in the world.
It’s a very special place. I first went on my daddy’s shoulders when I was 3 years old, and I haven’t missed many since!
I was so excited to share the experience with you. I wanted to take you everywhere and show you everything!
But as you’ll know if you follow me on Instagram, after three long days in the mud, the rain and the crowds… my beloved camera was swallowed up. Gone forever it would seem, along with all my photos.
I managed to upload a few iPhone snaps (before that disappeared too!)
Starting with a few cheeky Brothers ciders.
If you haven’t tried Brothers flavoured ciders, make it your mission this weekend. As far as I’m concerned, they’re the taste of Glastonbury and the main bar you want to hang out at (which we did rather a lot!)
A little tent selfie!

^ In Isabel Marant and blinding Hunters!
I had SO many amazing photos to share with you… but I’ve come to terms with the fact I’ll never get to. So we took LOTS on the final day to make up for it!
^ Tickling a Greenpeace polar bear’s chin.
Wearing a little sunshine in the mhuuud.

After lunch and a smattering of little bands, we headed to Dolly Parton on The Pyramid Stage.
Which I don’t think we could possibly have been any more excited about!

Oh, I don’t think I mentioned that I’m wearing one of Mum’s designs, her Constellation necklace.
The crowd was as big as I’ve ever seen. People crammed forwards and heaved in the excitement.
When Dolly finally took to the stage the place went wild!
She belted out everyone’s favourites and we gleefully sang (howled) along too.
Being part of a crowd this size is an amazing experience.
Everyone buzzes with happy, excited energy. You all move as one; swaying, clapping, cheering.
She was amazing.
One of the best live acts we saw all weekend.
It could have had something to do with knowing every word and being there with most of my favourite people… but it could also just be that she’s one hell of a performer who deserves every success she’s enjoyed.
After the show we made a beeline for The Park Stage, making a few friends along the way.
Here we caught Yoko Ono’s set. Watched over by a spellbound crowd.
Later we headed into the hospitality garden for buckets of cheesy chips and a few icy mojitos.
I dragged everyone to The Black Keys, who they all hated and I adored!
Oh well, you can’t win ’em all!
Soon after we dipped and weaved our way back through the crowds to our bar.
Where we ran into PJ, which PW was pretty excited about… clearly!
In payback for The Black Keys, the others dragged me to Ellie Goulding.
Which we watched and danced along to in the setting sun.
But this post is waaaaay too long already, so I’ll tell you the rest next time!
