For the first few weeks of Autumn we are all desperate to slip into our winter gear.
We want to be wrapped in leather, cashmere, wool and mulled cider. We want to rejoice in our structured coats and wave goodbye to bikinis. (Until November when we can all start complaining of the cold and long for Spring.)
This is especially true of Fashion Week.
Sadly, what started as a promisingly murky, grey and cold day… suddenly transformed into one of an Indian Summer. Roasting us in blazing sunshine and making those ever-so-chic leather trousers feel a little like hot tar.
I rushed home to change. Pulled on a floaty dress and poured myself into over the knee boots. Ready for the next show.
The boots, which you may have seen on my Instagram page, because I’m obsessed with them, are from Topshop Unique.
They come in 3 colours. Grey, black and a rather chic dusty burgundy.
Supremely comfortable, I only wish they hadn’t sold out of so many sizes so quickly.
If you can’t find your size, these forest ones are pretty killer! Of course, if you really wanted to drop some jaws, there’s always the CL option.

Waiting for the Busbai Air show, I ran into Kimbobs looking like a doll in her unbelievable 60s getup!
This girl never fails to make me chuckle!
Once inside the glorious old house, we took our seats and the show began.
An uninterrupted stream of glorious, feminine creations flowed through the rooms.
Models glided along with the music while the rest of us looked on in delight.
Some furiously scribbling notes, some clicking away and some just sitting quietly and enjoying the spectacle.
For the grande finale the girls lined up along the staircase.
They stood like statues as the sunlight poured in behind them, illuminating the soft silks and tules.
Simply stunning.
I headed off again for meetings, coffees with friends… and a little more style stalking.

I know fashion shows are supposed to be about the runway… but I thought this girl at the Gyunel show just looked beautiful.
Poised, classic & timeless.
If you happen to know her, please pass on my compliments. We could all do with a little boost from a stranger now and then!
We sipped on martinis as the show commenced.
Teeny, tiny, bronzed and buffed girls wiggled their way down the catwalk, carrying delicate silk creations.
The collection was based on a nomadic traveler & a desert scorpion.
This translated into a sexy mix of sand and a muted, deep pallet.
After a long day I was ready to get home and get into my onesie!
