La Dolce Vita, London

If you’re looking for a great little spot where you can drink wine, nibble on Italian food, while soaking up the sunshine and indulging in a little people watching, I know just the spot!

And there’s no need to leave London.

Rude not to when the weather’s this good!

You’ll find this little Italian haven in Knightsbridge, of all places.

Harry’s Dolce Vita.

Nestled away behind Harrods (which naturally makes for fantastic people watching!)

A charming place with striped awnings, bow-tied Italian waiters, and a gorgeous, buzzing crowd.

Snag a table outside if you can, and order up a storm!

Sharing plates are the way to go.

Courgette fries.

Perfect carpaccio.

Tuna pizzetta – raw tuna, truffle citrus dressing, tomatoes and basil on a crispy base.

Calamari, ready to be drowned in lemon and dunked into mayo.

Rosemary smoked burrata with salt baked beetroot, aged balsamic and pine nuts.

Fried courgette flowers with courgette, honey, mint and pine nut salad with lemon ricotta.

Perfect for long, lazy summer evenings.

Chatting, sharing, nibbling and laughing in the last of the sunshine.

And nothing goes together quite like sunsets with sundaes…

Amalfi Sundae – Lemon sorbet, candied lemon, whipped cream, milk gelato, meringue, lemon sauce and sugared rosemary.

Fresh, light, exceptionally Italian.

But not quite as good as this baby…

Gianduia Sundae – Milk and bitter chocolate gelato, Piedmontese hazelnut brownie, chocolate mousse and salted caramel sauce.

Quite simply outrageous.

And well worth sword fighting your companion’s spoons out of the way for the last chunk of brownie soaked in salted caramel sauce.

It’s not Harry’s, it’s mine.
