Is there anything more British than strawberries & cream in the sunshine?
Well, perhaps strawberries & cream in the rain… but given the choice, I’ll have mine with a side of rays.
Summer is so close you can almost smell it. The scent of cut grass is wafting through my open window as I type, there are children playing outside and Custard is on his back, snoozing in a golden patch of sun.
A season of sporting matches, champagne and strawberries awaits us.
So naturally, this colour pallette seems to have woven its way into my wardrobe. Whether we’re talking strawberries or crumble (or often in my dad’s case, sausages – not kidding), cream goes with everything.
So what could be better than a creamy guise to take us from the wavering spring weather on into summer?
Channeling Coco, but in a suitably all-British look.

When Boden asked me to collaborate and style two of their looks for a blog post, I raced for these pieces and wouldn’t put them down!
The words comfort and style rarely go together, so when they do, don’t let go!
The Indian influence is far more apparent in the dressier pieces of the ICONS collection.
We’ll call this the strawberry of the collection.
A little 60’s bell-sleeved dress, peppered with intricate embroidery.
Boden’s hand-drawn designs have been carefully brought to life on top of sheer, silky fabric. It rests on your skin, tattooing you in the best of spring blooms!
