There is a major perk that comes with jet-lag.
That is that you get to wake up with the sun and watch it rise over the world; which is pretty exceptional when the New York skyline is the world in front of you.
This leaves you with a much longer day for exploring and adventuring!
One of the major downsides however is that your stomach takes a while to catch on, leaving you ravenous at 6am.
The best place for an early morning breakfast in NYC?
This place!
Black Seed bagels in Soho.
The best hand-rolled, broiled & wood-oven baked bagels you will ever lay hands on.
Stuffed with all sorts of goodness.
We ordered our favourites and watched the bakers at work.
There is absolutely nothing as stomach rumble inducing as the smell of freshly baking bagels, at 7am.
Home-smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onions & capers sandwiched in a soft, chewy, warm-from-the-oven, sesame bagel.
Baked egg with molten cheddar, avocado & tomato… also a life changer.
My man and I hungrily devoured half of each, each.
Sighed satisfied sighs and marched off for a busy day in New York.
But after just one meeting, it was time to eat again!
We’d promised to meet Julia & Thomas for brunch and couldn’t resist taking them to our old favourite; Jack’s Wife Freda.
Having started with a cosy little table inside, we quickly shuffled outside as soon as we spied a free table.
Rapidly covering every inch of it in edibles.
After breakfast we headed off into Soho for coffee and a spot of shopping.
White button-up dress (free express shipping on everything today!)
Red wine bag (that’s the colour, not the contents… sadly) // Red wine boots
