As part of my birthday celebrations, my sister-from-another-mr, soulmate, bff and general partner in crime; Valentina… flew in to surprise me!
She touched down at Gatwick, raced into London and rang my doorbell.
After a lot of excitement, bouncing, a few tears and a fair amount of hugging, we finally pulled ourselves together and headed off to London Fashion Week.

We made a pit stop at Mulberry head quarters to check out the new collection, and toast to our reunion!
Rather than a fashion show, Mulberry hosted a two day presentation.
The Country House themed collection was spread throughout the showroom, so bloggers, editors and buyers had a chance to get really up-close and personal with the pieces.
We thoroughly enjoyed snooping through the instillation, and relished the opportunity to get to grips with the clothes.
Plus it gave us ample time to lust over next season’s “IT” bags.
The prints and cuts are inspired by the brand’s British heritage and English Georgian houses.
Tailoring, nipped in waists, wool and modern takes on old country classics.
We re-grouped (and re-caffinated) at Somerset House.
V sat in on a couple of meetings (and seriously impressed the teams with her tech skills – to be fair she is a partner at Evereti) before we marched off to see Osman at The Tate Britain.
Where I fell head over heels for a pearly white dress, flowing satin skirts and big-buttoned coats.
Afterwards we indulged in a little Instagram break in the sunshine.
Followed by a spot of street style stalking.
Before we knew it, the sun started to dip below the rooftops and the day was almost spent.
Just about the right time for a little tipple, or two!
We climbed the tower at The ME Hotel and gave the cocktail menu a good seeing to.

…and when they come back it’s like they never left at all!
