Boom Burger

You can’t beat a good double date.

Well, unless you throw burgers into the mix.

Then… BOOM! You’ve got yourself the best date in town.

There’s a fairly new Jamaican burger joint in Notting Hill. I haven’t spent much time with Phoebe’s new boyfriend since we all met at Glastonbury, so we combined the two. Burgers n boyfriends.

Looking quite drastically different from Fashion Week!

Hobbs jacket (similar) // White tee // Asos ripped jeans // Converse // Gucci bag

Hair slathered in repairing oil. Skin bathed in Creme de La Mer. (I recently had one of their life-changing facials at Urban Retreat, which whipped my poor holiday battered skin into shape. I’m keen to keep it that way!)

My chap and I met these two weirdos at the tube station,

and we strolled over to the restaurant together.

Right down at the bottom of Portobello, under the railroad track, you’ll find Boom Burger.

Plastic table cloths, baskets of burgers, chips n wings.

Greasy sauce bottles and big, icy cups of punch.

It’s brilliant.

As always, we ordered most of the menu.

The Boom Burger – signature beef burger covered in cheese and bacon jam.

Rich, juicy, cheesy and a little bit spicy.

Fish boom – pan-fried red snapper with rocket, escovitch sauce and jerk mayo.

Light, fresh and very tasty.

Pork boom – slow cooked pork belly, with homemade jerk sauce, fried pineapple and rocket.

Pork and beef, what could be better?

Crispy chicken wings – spicy as hell!

Jerk wings – Chicken wings marinaded in house jerk sauce.

My favourite, but very spicy so look out!

Brunch boom – Sweet-cured bacon topped with a fried egg, bacon jam and fresh avocado salsa.

Deliciously messy.

Ready…?

SteadyGo!

The bar is well stocked and cheap as chips.

The barman is hilarious and will have a go at knocking up anything you like.

Whether you go at these things daintily…

…or like to get stuck in…

… I just know you’ll love this place!

Check out the website, the menu and how to find them here. (Yes there’s a vegetarian option.)

Just promise me, when you order, you’ll say: “Man I’m hungry, Jamaica good burger?!”
