Custard here. Here’s me running in slow-mo with the wind in my fur, my ears in the breeze, looking as fabulous as ever. Just incase you forgot what I look like.
I know, I know of course you didn’t forget, how could you?! But hey, there’s nothing wrong with appreciating a fine specimen of a chap in all his athletic glory, is there? I know it hasn’t been long since my last guest post and you know I like to keep my blog appearances as exclusive as possible… but I have some news. I wasn’t sure if it was good news at first. You see, there’s a new kid on the block. He arrived a couple of days ago and I just wasn’t sure he was going to fit in. He doesn’t even speak The Queen’s English for Christ’s sake! It’s taken a few days to get into the swing of things, but you’ll be pleased to know I’ve decided to keep him. He can stay. So seeing as he’ll be sticking around, I figured I should formally introduce you to my new best friend, my new mucka, my new… well…brother, as it happens. He’s called Hector and he is a hoot!
He’s settling in pretty well, down there at the bottom of the food chain. Olga & I introduced him to the river yesterday.
And today he even got his first parcel!
I checked it for explosives, you just can’t trust that sneaky postman.
He’s always up to no good that postie. Mark my words, he’ll show his true colours one day. And when he does, I’ll . be . waiting. Thankfully this time it was just a welcome home gift from Mungo & Maud who read about his past on the blog and wanted to send him a fitting new collar for his swish new British surroundings.
I was worried I was going to have to confiscate it… but they didn’t forget me. And they called me big.
What do you think Baby Brother? Think you could get used to life as an English ragamuffin?
I think you’ll fit in just fine, kid. Ps. You’ll be pleased to hear that Hera is living happily with Jessica. Enjoying a leisurely life of tummy tickles and breakfast in bed. Happy endings all round. Don’t forget to check your local shelter (they’ll probably have a website) if you think you have room for a new sidekick in your life. We love ours!
