A Night Off

When I first moved away from home the idea of being able to have food delivered was completely incredible to me.

“They’ll bring it to your house?!”

My first boyfriend in London was called Tom & wow, in hindsight I must have seemed so green to him! I barely wore makeup, I had dreadful straightened hair & I could not get the hang of any form of public transport.

He introduced me to lots of things the city has to offer, most of which I seem to have outgrown now but one thing that stuck with me was his knowledge of great London delivery places.

We’d play Playstation & eat pizza or have a box-set session of Entourage over chinese food, but if there was ever any discussion over what we should have, Deliverance won out.

If you’re a tech-savvy Londoner you probably already know about Deliverance. If you don’t, prepare to get excited.

They’ll bring you anything you like.

American, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, even booze if you fancy it.

No need to decide or argue, it all comes together.

This time they sent Phoebe a money off voucher so we went to town & ordered a trunk load to have while watching a Game of Thrones marathon.

Slow cooked ham and truffle roasted mushroom pizza:

Chicken weeennggsss:

Crispy duck ‘n’ pancakes:

Crispy chili beef:

Satay chicken sticks:

Peri-peri chicken burger:

& the crowning glory… crème brûlée:

I know it’s not the usual stuff I write about, but we all need a night off occasionally. You can order it all online here & avoid the crackly telephone call where you have to bellow down the phone to someone who can’t quite get the hang of your accent.

I wish with all my heart that Deliverance did great sushi but they really don’t. Give that a miss.

Tom, if you’re reading this… thanks for the tip & I hope your Fifa skills have improved!
