This week has been a bit of a whirlwind of lunches, dinners & parties.
After the very grown up (brilliant) restaurant awards party at Downing Street, the Tatler Restaurant Awards were a very welcome change of pace. An incredibly glamorous crowd descended upon The Savoy for champagne and very naughty canapÃ©s. Sponsored by the wonderful Laurent Perrier, it was always going to be a wickedly decadent event! (Apologies for the blue toned photos, it was the lighting in the ballroom & I don’t use a flashâ¦ unlike the pros!)
Outfit wise, I plumped for a little black dress (this one).
After far too much champagne, we said our goodbyes and snuck off for burgers at Bar Boulud.
I had my favourite, the BB burger, washed down with elderflower cocktails. If you haven’t tried Bar Boulud’s BB, you need to give it a go! Topped with a layer of braised short ribs, a slice of confit foie gras, crispy shallots and horseradish mayo, it’s just a dream of a burger.
All in all, a truly wonderful evening with truly wonderful company! I felt like a very lucky little lady. Thankyou so much to Tatler for having me. I highly recommend picking up their new June issue, I’ve barely put mine down and their restaurant guide is my new bedtime read. Thank god it’s Friday! I’m looking forward to a weekend snuggled up by the fire with Custard . What are you up to? .
