MarsBar Melts

There are two reasons you'll fall in love with these MarsBar Melts

1. They only need 4 ingredients

2. They only take 7mins to bake

Fast, fabulous & utterly filthy!

NB: If you're in America, a Mars Bar over here is what you guys call a Milky Way over there.
A Milky Way is something totally different here... it's all very confusing!

You will need:

1 box devil's food cake mix
2 Marsbars (or Milkyways if you're American)
2 Eggs
5 1/2 tbsp oil

Pre-heat your oven to 180°C or 350°F.
Mix your dry cake mix with your eggs & oil.
Give it some welly & keep stirring until you have a smooth, shiny, thick batter.
Chop your chocolate bars into slices, take a scoop of cake batter and roll it around your choco slice.
Make sure it's totally covered and pop your cake ball on a baking tray.
Keep doing this until you've run out of mixture.
Make sure you eat any left over chocolate slices... this is a very important step.

Pop them in the oven for 7-8mins
Until they look like these bad boys-

While they're still warm, scoop them onto a plate & serve with a frosty glass of milk.

Enjoy!

Ps. If for some unforeseeable reason you don't eat these all in one sitting, just store them in a box in the cupboard, do not refrigerate or you'll loose your squidgy middle.

    1. Hey Kristen, I''ve found a website which explains...

      British Marsbar- http://totl.net/VisibleMars/mars-uk.html

      American Marsbar- http://totl.net/VisibleMars/mars-us.html

I made mine with British Marsbars but Milkyways will taste the same!

      Hope that helps!

      xx

Take it from a Brit living in the US...yes they are a lot different, just use Milky Ways, those are the closest chocolate bars we have to their Mars. Or you could always try going to The World Market (if you have one in your area) sometimes they carry the British Mars bars.

    3. I moved to Canada from the States, and just thought the Mars bars in the dark wrappers were dark choco Mars (I don't eat them, so didnt investigate). Now I know that they are British "Mars"/US Milky Way equivalent. Amazing how one imaginary line on the map changes things!

    4. The American Mars bar link above is showing a Mars Bar "Almond" version. I'm from Canada and our Mars bars look exactly like the british ones. But I'm sure we have the Almond and Dark Chocolate versions as well. I don't think I've seen a Milky Way bar for years though :/
      p.s I can't wait to make this!

    Hey Rose,
So my housemates and I like to do Sunday night homemade dinners for one another (family style) and I was looking to make these as an easy dessert. There are 15 of us and I wanted to prep and make sure I have enough for everyone. About how many cookies does one box of the cake mix make?
    Thanks for your help!
