You know very well that if there are two things that excite me, they’re shades of blue and a new brunch discovery.
Well this post includes both of those things!
Easing in with the blues…
I’m more than a little in love with this cashmere jumper/shrug (jrug?). It’s deliciously cosy, but not too hot, so ideal for this indecisive bit of the season.
Slipped over a silk cami (wardrobe staple).
Paired with skinny jeans, suede heels, powder blue tote, Silver May jewellery and So Real sunglasses.
Now, let’s beat the blues with a spot of brunch, shall we?
West Thirty Six is relatively new in London town, and it’s all everyone seems to be talking about.
One for drinks, dinner, lunch, brunch or go for the whole set!
We commandeered a table on the terrace and settled in for the long haul.
Bucks fizz, bloody Marys and cappuccinos all round.
And a touch of over-ordering, all in the name of sharing.
Fluffy, zingy, comforting pancakes.
Fresh, fragrant crab trifle.
Epic wings with hot sauce.
Avo-toast with poached egg.
Perfect in every way.
Citrus salad with coconut yogurt (a nod to being healthy).
Mouthwateringly brilliant chicken, avocado and aioli sarnie.
Exceptionally cheesy cheese burger.
Cheeky sides.
Herby roast chicken.
All washed down with lashings of punch.
Everything you could ask for in a brunch!
We sat and chatted, lapping up the sunshine for a few more rounds.
Groaned about how full we were and hoped mint tea would help.
I thoroughly recommend a trip to West Thirty Six, even if the sun isn’t shining, there are a number of gorgeous little cubbyholes to snuggle into with a drink or two.
After brunch we strolled down to Portobello Market for a little vintage hunting.
Pretty much a dream Saturday, if you ask me!
What did you get up to? Busy week ahead?
C’mon, spill…
