My Beauty Cabinet

I’ve been meaning to do an updated beauty cabinet snoop for a while now.

I get lots of requests for these, but try to space them out a bit… because to be perfectly honest it takes me a while to decide which bits are really worth recommending.

But the day has finally arrived! Let’s get stuck in, shall we?

These are some of the bits I’ve been loving lately. Some are old favourites and some are pretty new additions.

In no particular order, here we go;

Elemis Smoothing Toner – Smells delicious, very clean, fresh and leaves skin dewey. Use before makeup, or in place of foundation with a few swipes of blush.

Elemis Eye Masks – These are just wonderful! Cool little strips that you stick under your eyes to calm, cool and brighten. They take care of fine lines, too! Just what you need after a long day staring at a screen.

Tom Ford Velvet Orchid – Very sexy scent. Expensive, but so strong that you can use it sparingly and make it last forever.

Serge Normant’s Finishing Spray – Full of vitamins and fruit oils this light spray adds a natural shine to wet or dry hair.

Bamford’s Hand & Body Wash– This smells delicious and moisturises as it cleans.

(The last two ^ are mini size because I got them from NaP’s beauty box, which is nice if you want to test the waters before splashing out.)

Rose Clay Mask– This is truly exceptional. The gentle, pink clay works on all skin types, deep cleans, softens and smooths. Even my boyfriend steals this stuff, it’s addictive!

Korres Fig Body Wash– Gettin’ figgy with it.

Clinique Sonic System– The first electronic cleanser I’ve tried. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how gentle the brush is and how fresh my skin feels afterwards.

Hoola– Best bronzer I’ve ever owned! An old, old favourite.

Gerard Cosmetics Highlighter– Beautiful highlighter cream. Sweep over cheekbones for a slimming, natural glow.

Emma Hardie Face Cream (AM/PM)– Rich, thick and goes deep. (The boyfriend you’ve always wanted.)

Elemis Pro Cleansing Balm– Smells like a spa treatment. Cleanses away makeup, dirt and dead skin without drying. Lovely.

Caudalie Gommage– Deeply satisfying scrub that leaves skin with a light, scented, oiled finish.

Charlotte’s Magic Cream– Practically magical moisturiser.

Creme de la Mer Gradual Tanner– Smells nothing like fake tan, very gentle, very natural.

Aromatherapy Associates Instant Inner Strength– I’m generally obsessed with everything this company makes. They can honestly do no wrong in my books!

Creme de la Mer Regenerating Serum– Hailed by the press as “youth in a bottle”. Doesn’t disappoint. I often use in place of moisturiser, or just before bed.

Hypnose mascara– Current fave. Stays on all day, doesn’t clump. On sale!

Soigné Polishes– Beautiful, durable polishes that even I seem to be able to make last a week without chipping! *Touch wood*

Orly Quick Dry– Just incase you’re as impatient as I am when it comes to nails!

Lucas Paw Paw Treatment– To sooth dry winter lips.

Garnier BB blur– Much lighter than foundation but smooths out skin tone. Great for nights out, or when you have to be photo-ready!

Bobbi Brown Eyeliner– Long wearing, anti-smudge, I have a few colours of these… always great!

Zoeva Eyeliner– For when I fancy something a little jazzier.

I’m madly in love with Real Techniques new Bold Metals collection! (And only partly because they have RT printed on them!)

Airmotion Hairbrush– A complete lifesaver! So much better than a tangle teaser, glides through hair undoing knots, without breaking or distressing your hair. Simply brilliant.

Is soap a strange thing to include? This one just smells so good!

Clinique cream blush– For a winter glow!

MAC Pink Plaid– For kissable lips.

Wild At Heart Fig Candle – Feeding my fig scent addiction!

And finally… the best smelling candle I have ever laid nose on. *Drum roll*

Cire Trudon’s Positano candle. Just so delicious I can’t even bear to burn it!

There we have it. An updated list of my current favourite bits ‘n’ pieces. What do you think? Anything you’d try? Or maybe you have something new for me to try?! Let me know below.

Update: On reflection I’ve realised I should have told you about the mirror. It’s from M&S
