Conference Day Onesie

Day one of the conference was all about meetings, education and getting to know each other.

As such, I opted for comfort.

Something I could curl up in a lecture hall in give my full attention to the speakers in.

Day one was all about the one-sie.

Mango printed jumpsuit // Converse wedges // Jimmy Choo bag // Silver May dragonfly

Light ‘n’ loose it draws the eye to the top of your tummy, giving the illusion of legs that just go and go forever, while pulling you in at the smallest bit of your waist.

Combined with hidden wedge Converse sneakers it’s a perfectly slimming combo for those of us who plan on having tacos for breakfast!

Which I found at CBD Provisions, a little “modern Texan” resto just under the hotel.

I had my breakfast tacos with a side of bacon.

The Eye peering over my shoulder definitely judged me.

I hissed “Leave me alone! Eye’ve got a long day ahead of me, ok?! I don’t wanna taco ’bout it.”

He said “Ok ok, sorry. I didn’t mean to get jalapeño business! Enjoy.”

So I settled back down and got stuck in.

After breakfast I raced upstairs, still slurping the last of my coffee, and jumped into the lecture hall.

After that we all had a couple of hours of meetings, followed by a “mixer”.

This was everyone’s chance to make blogger buddies and see how people on the other side of the world work their magic.

Almost everyone at the conference has been blogging for longer than me so I was pretty excited to sip on bubbles with some seasoned veterans.

The party was hosted by Neiman Marcus (oh hello 40% sale!) at their store on Main St.

Four glittering, polished floors of some of the most glamorous girls I’ve ever seen.

Glossy is the word that came to mind & I still can’t think of a better one!

Lunch was “take-out” style. Tiny little boxes of Chinese noodles with seared tuna, mini cheeseburgers and palm sized pizza boxes. Washed down with peachy iced cocktails.

The room buzzed with excited energy as girls chatted away together in a jumble of accents.

After lunch the crowds dispersed and we all roamed the world of Neiman.

I managed to get completely distracted by the sheer number of princess dresses on show!

I don’t know if it’s because prom season is coming up, but the ladies in Dallas clearly love a ballgown.

Dessert was whisked around us in the form of pink candy floss…

…so I decided it would only be fitting if I tried some on!

I fell head over heels for this Rubin Singer silk cloud of a creation.

But conceded that there was no way I could bare to crush it into my suitcase and headed back down to the glossy party in my cotton onesie.

Safely back in the #selfie centre of the universe!

I’ve never been to a conference before, are they always this glamorous? Or is it just the Reward Style sparkle working its magic?
