St Ives Sea Breeze

We woke up hungry & ready to roam. Having inadvertently pulled on co-ordinating outfits we chuckled & headed out the door. Every time I leave London I’m reminded of how unfriendly Londoners are by just how lovely everyone else is. We didn’t pass a soul who didn’t wish us good morning or compliment us on our well suited outfits (embarrassing but we laughed along). In need of caffeine & carbs we walked just around the corner to Porthmeor beach. I worked in the cafe here one summer and knew they’d have a good brew with a killer view.

Having gorged ourselves on scrambled eggs, crab, sausages, bacon, toast & tea we got down to the roaming.

We walked down to the sea to dip our toes & then all through the sleepy town.

This fine looking chap was taking himself for a walk.

Sailor Tom wears a J Crew jumper , Topman shorts , shoes & t-shirt and matt Ray Bans. Jaunty pose is his own.

Sailor Rosie wears white jeans & navy knit from ASOS (other colours here & cute stripy one here).

We spotted a chapel & climbed up to it.

Up there we clambered around the rocks & did our best not to blow away.

The sea here seems to come in so many different shades of blue. It’s always changing & always so, so beautiful.

The town is pretty adorable too.

We climbed down & skipped barefoot across the rocks to where the waves were breaking. (Watch for the rainbow…)

I wanted to get a little closer…

And of course ended up getting soaked!

We retired to The Sloop, one of Britain’s oldest pubs, for crab sandwiches & chips.

Swimming in salt n vinegar, naturally.

Mmmm…. salty.

After a couple too many pints of Crabbies we walked the long way home for a snooze, admiring the beaches on the way.

I’m afraid I took way too many pictures to squeeze into one post so I’ll have to tell you the rest of the story tomorrow. But here’s a sneak peak, just because I like you…

See you tomorrow!
