On Monday Kim gave me a call and said “there’s a ball in Cannes tomorrow, let’s go!” 24 hours later we were walking down Le Croisette in our gowns, ready to dance. I went for a black velvet number from Joseph…
Kim wore one of her own designs.
The ball was a charity event for the Naked Heart Foundation, hosted by the beautiful Natalia Vodianova.
It was jam packed with actresses, rock stars, royalty, directors & a few little nobodies like me!
One of my very favourite fashion designers came over to tell me I was “working” my dress⦠I grinned from ear to ear & muttered my thanks. He laughed at my reaction & whisked me off to dance. I’m a firm believer in finding the campest man in the room to dance with & this time he found me!
After the fireworks we headed home to bed, exhausted from traveling & dancing all night.
After a breakfast of flakey french pastries & croisants in bed we hit the shops.
I wore my spectacularly comfortable wedges. Kim got shoe envy in her little stilettos so we headed to Jimmy for her own pair. I guess the plus side of paps is that you don’t have to ask anyone to take a photo of you together⦠they do it without asking!
My dress is from True Decadence & my shoes are from KG. Kimberley’s is from Theyskens Theory (but I can’t find a link for it anywhere!)
Shopping can be seriously hungry work.
K’s favourite restaurant as a little girl was Eden Roc, so we jumped in a cab & headed over for lunch on the terrace.
The clouds chased us all the way there & finally caught up with us.
As true Brits we refused to give in and snuggled into towels.
The perfect beginning to our last minute adventure!
