Bit of a double whammy for you today.
Not only have I sniffed out another cracking brunch spot, but this place is an interiors goldmine.
If you’re willing to venture west, Chiswick is where it’s all happening.
Bit of a double whammy for you today.
Not only have I sniffed out another cracking brunch spot, but this place is an interiors goldmine.
If you’re willing to venture west, Chiswick is where it’s all happening.
Chiswick Fire Station is a cavernous bar and restaurant, just opposite Soho House, in the old firehouse funnily enough.
Every inch is a veritable #InteriorGoalz feast for the eyes.
Blue velvet bar stools.
Pink suede sofas, copper tables, succulents, Elvis.
I think I just won Pinterest bingo.
White painted floorboards and picnic tables?
Check!
Built in sofas with sumptuous leather cushions?
You got it!
I must say I’m particularly taken with this set up…
The mix of textures, colours and style all come together to make the place feel homely but glamorous.
The sort of place you could snuggle into with your laptop all day and prop up the bar all night.
We made our way to the garden and nestled into huge pink striped pillows.
Happiest with my nose in a menu!
We shared a feast of the best bits.
Avocado toast with feta.
Eggs Benedict with avocado, spinach and ham on sourdough.
Fruit salad smothered in passionfruit (the king of fruits).
Drool inducing blueberry pancakes.
See?
On our trip to Napa Valley my friend Julia taught me a wonderful trick.
Ask if everyone would like to order a stack of pancakes “for the table” and then just eat them yourself.
Satisfaction guaranteed!
We finished brunch with one last coffee inside, on those irresistible pink sofas.
Nothing goes with coffee quite like a cuddle.
You really can’t beat a bit of an interiors feast over brunch.
Which bits would you have at home?
