I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back in London!
Autumn seems to be racing in with abandon, before you know it the world will turn amber and start to fall at our feet.
After that it’s a slippery slope until Christmas!
A Back-To-School wardrobe is in order. And this season, we’re all sliding on back to the 70s.
Suede, shearling, flares, faux fur coats, huge shades…
If you’ve always wanted to be a Charlie’s Angel, now’s your chance!
But before we get into specifics, I have a new place I want to show you around.
I’m going to try and feature a few more little British hotels. It’s never made a lot of sense for me to write about London hotels, because quite frankly I like sleeping in my own bed!
But it’s advice I’m asked for all the time, so I figure it may come in handy for you too.
This is The Laslett. Let’s pop inside for a spin!
A new boutique hotel in Notting Hill (thought I’d start close to home) that wants to make you feel like its your very own townhouse.
The decor is an eclectic mix of local bits and bobs and minimalistic furniture.
The whole place gleams!
The bedrooms are sweet and done up with entirely Brit-made fabrics and locally sourced art.
I didn’t stay over, I only popped in for a brunch meeting and they gave me a whizz around.
A healthy, fresh, simple collection of breakfast fodder in breezy surroundings.
A very LA breakfast it would seem!
Just look at that sumptuous avo-toast.
There are 55 rooms, and you can’t get a much better position.
30 seconds to Notting Hill Gate and Central London in a flash.
Rooms are about £200 a night, but you can pop in for brunch or coffee any time. Book online.
But let’s get back to those golden browns!
Gold mirrored aviators (a cheaper dupe of these babies!)
