Handluggage Snoop

You can’t beat a bit of a snoop through a girlfriend’s bag.

I’m always being asked for these posts, but rarely get around to them.

To be perfectly honest, my handbag is usually chock-a-block with wrinkled receipts, gum wrappers, cables, wires, and SD cards… so I don’t think you’d enjoy a breakdown too much!

But today is a special day.

Today my humble sac turns into a life raft in a sea of commotion.

Today it will house all my necessities, and get me to my destination as serenely as possible.

Today it’s going to Paris.

Firstly it houses alotta stuff!

Now, I grew up with a blankie. (Don’t tell a soul… but I still have it.)

There is nothing on this planet that I find more relaxing than snuggling into my blanket, especially when it’s fresh from the laundry (even BETTER when it’s still warm from the dryer!).

Sadly travelling with a blanket is not exactly socially acceptable… and can be a bit cumbersome.

So I like to find chic replacements.

This Temperley London blue & white creation might just be the love of my life.

It is softer and cuddlier than a needy kitten. It goes with everything I own (hello, it’s blue and white!). I’m never taking it off.

Next on the list of absolute essentials?

Music.

(No-one enjoys fluorescent lighting!)

Then there’s beauty stuff.

I tend to keep this kit on me so it doesn’t get squished and splurt all over my clothes. And some of it is nice to dab on as you travel too.

Penhaligon’s travel candle. A gift from the chap. Haven’t used it yet, but it smells divine!

Although, if we’re talking about heavenly scents… nothing, NOTHING compares to this.

Armani Privé Améthyste perfume.

My new ‘thing’. It smells like the best spa you’ve ever been to, times ten… plus sexy. Honestly, it smells sexy. There’s no other way to describe it.

Really quite expensive for perfume, but a little goes a LONG way (I learnt this the hard way having bathed myself in the stuff!).

Bath oil (I’m not staying in a hotel this time, staying with friends).

Random foreign lip cream. Not sure where I bought this.

^ The best beauty purchase I’ve ever made.

I force everyone I know, male or female, to buy this.

It’s Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. You just slather on a few drops at bed time, it soothes you with lavender and irons out the stresses of the day from your skin.

Makeup wise, on my skin I pretty much just wear moisturiser and bronzer during the day, during summer.

I’m taking BB cream incase I go somewhere fancy in the eve. And under eye cream incase I need a little lift the day after!

Soothing eye masks because my eyes get strained staring at a computer all the time.

Clarins mascara, so well loved all the markings have rubbed off!

This little critter gives me wireless internet wherever I go. Tep.

I have one for Europe and one for the US. Cracking invention!

New Elle. Obvs.

Smythson notebook for when inspiration strikes!

[iframe frameborder=”0″ height=”120px” scrolling=”no” src=”http://currentlyobsessed.me/api/v1/get_widget?wid=29&blog=The%2BLondoner&product_ids=n_12934530,n_12934538,n_12934522,n_12934526,n_12934602,n_12934534&rows=1&cols=5&brand=1&price=0&hover=1″ width=”600px”]

And of course my passport, and the world’s oldest Mulberry wallet.

Obviously at the last minute I’ll panic and stuff it with receipts, cables and Haribo.

I’m leaving this afternoon & can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and start wandering the cobbled streets with my trusty camera, fuelled by chocolate croissants!

À demain!
