Last night I popped out to celebrate one of my favourite people’s birthdays.
With bubbles in one fist and roses in the other, my fella & I marched off into the setting sun.
Sadly, the birthday boy is fiercely camera shy.
A camera may as well be a loaded weapon as far as he’s concerned, and as such they’re not allowed in the house.
So no party blogging for me.
But, you know me!
Could I resist the combination of a swishy new dress, a glistening evening and an Uber held up in traffic?
Of course I ruddy well couldn’t!
So, while it may not be the party post I’d have liked, I can at the very least share a style post with you.

Obsessed with all things blue, I paired mine with a snazzy new number from Pocket Watch.
They’re a new British company and I can safely say I have never had more compliments on a watch!
I have a thing for large, almost masculine watches but I think the rose gold makes it firmly mine, rather than something I’ve borrowed from my chap.

After a little dancing, we did start to hope the car would turn up soon!
We discussed the pros & cons of cracking into the champagne… but decided against it.
