Hunting for Christmas Pressies

Rather than race through all my San Francisco posts, I thought I’d mix in a few London festivities along the way!

London is a total dream when it comes to Christmas shopping.

You can go find everything from tiny little boutiques to whopping great department stores and everything in between.

Even hardcore online shoppers like me can’t resist venturing out into the glittering streets for a few treats to pop under the tree.

Especially when the rain finally stops!

Red bus on Regent Street

There’s something about red busses and blue skies that just makes my heart sing.

Pops of red in London!

Not quite trusting that it had gone for long, I stuck to my waterproofs which have been a life saver this week.

There's nothing chic about wet feet! Love these boots.

Black coat (similar, comes in 3 colours) // Skinny jeans

Red tall boots

Red Prada tote (snagged in the sale here!)

Marching along Regent Street, enjoying the new decorations (the best they’ve done in years) and hunting for the perfect pressies for the littles in my family.

Departures

I’m working with Hunter this Christmas and they asked if I might like to pop in to check out their flagship store, which is so new I hadn’t even seen it yet!

3 floors of all things British, rugged & outdoorsy.

Just the spot to find a few pressies.

Lace up boots

And perhaps a few teeny bits for me… ’tis the season after all!

Winter chic!

Black poloneck // Sparkly necklace

My favourite floor?

The kid’s floor, of course.

Painted red and plunged into a snowy wonderland, beneath the hustle and bustle of London.

Now, I’m pretty certain my nephew Monty won’t be reading this (he’s two) so I think it’s safe to spill.

I got him a little adventurer set!

Baby Hunters

Tiny lace up Hunters // Hunter baby backpack

I’m not ashamed to say I tried the backpack on for myself. Monty, I might have to borrow it.

Upstairs I slipped into a few of the new designs.

I can’t resist a well made duffle coat, so pulled one on with extra warm Hunters; especially designed for the NYFW crowd who were complaining of the cold!

Having toured each and every inch of the store, I checked out and headed off with my loot!

Taxi to Somerset please!

Taxi, please!

I’ve got some boots to get muddy.

If you find yourself on Regent St this weekend, pop into the store.

Say “Make Tracks” to the cashier and they’ll send you off with an extra gift.

If you’re feeling particularly festive you can take a few littles along to Vanessa Woolf’s storytelling tomorrow.

Hunter Regent Street -33

Take in the sparkle of Regent St, indulge in an enormous hot chocolate (or perhaps a mug of mulled wine) and treat yourself to a little festive day out, before the madness of Christmas really descends onto London!

Have you got your tree up yet?

I’m going to try and get ours  soon, I’ve left it so long… I’m really pining for one!

Have you seen these?

  • Oh that coat looks lovely and warm!! And those shoes for Monty are to DIE for! I often find myself in the children departement and literally have to stop myself from hoarding things for “future kids” by telling myself that if I ever move to NYC it wouldn’t be handy to move all of that with hahaha how silly is that x) <3

  • That back pack is very cute! I think I will have to get one for my niece when she’s a little bit bigger

  • I love that such rugged brands are making designs for the more fashion-inclined folk.
Love those lace up chunky heels.
I’m such a lover of hunters anyway – had mine for years and they’re still the comfiest things! xo

  • I’ve wanted a pair of Hunters for ages! I would be in heaven in that store.

  • What a beautiful photo (the final one)! So fun and festive, loving all your red accessories too!

  • Super lovely!! I love that you’re wearing Hunters in the middle of London, and still look stylish. I put my green Hunters on once in Ireland, and everyone stared at me like I was insane (but I was dry!) xx

  • I have a pair of Hunter rainboots and they’re my absolute favorite!! Those heeled boots are super cute too, I might have to check them out!

  • Lovely post Rosie, I love your red accessories, I am such a red colour lover! I have to say I was offered a pair of hunters by my brother in law a few Christmas ago and I was a bit surprised by the choice of present not to mention less than impressed by the colour he chose for my wellies (beige). However, I must admit now that he had a wonderful idea: the wellies are so durable, well built and if you leave in the UK, you will make the best use of them!

  • Great post, I’ve been a fan of the Hunter wellies for years and living in a cold European climate they are a must have for dark and rainy winter days. I currently own a black pair, but after seeing you wearing the red ones I’m doubting whether to invest in a second pair!
