Gold ‘n’ Brown

I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back in London!

Autumn seems to be racing in with abandon, before you know it the world will turn amber and start to fall at our feet.

After that it’s a slippery slope until Christmas!

A Back-To-School wardrobe is in order. And this season, we’re all sliding on back to the 70s.

Suede, shearling, flares, faux fur coats, huge shades…

If you’ve always wanted to be a Charlie’s Angel, now’s your chance!

But before we get into specifics, I have a new place I want to show you around.

I’m going to try and feature a few more little British hotels. It’s never made a lot of sense for me to write about London hotels, because quite frankly I like sleeping in my own bed!

But it’s advice I’m asked for all the time, so I figure it may come in handy for you too.

This is The Laslett. Let’s pop inside for a spin!

The Laslett Hotel Notting Hill-3

A new boutique hotel in Notting Hill (thought I’d start close to home) that wants to make you feel like its your very own townhouse.

The decor is an eclectic mix of local bits and bobs and minimalistic furniture.

I didn’t stay over, I only popped in for a brunch meeting and they gave me a whizz around.

A healthy, fresh, simple collection of breakfast fodder in breezy surroundings.

A very LA breakfast it would seem!

Just look at that sumptuous avo-toast.

There are 55 rooms, and you can’t get a much better position.

30 seconds to Notting Hill Gate and Central London in a flash.

Rooms are about £200 a night, but you can pop in for brunch or coffee any time. Book online.

But let’s get back to those golden browns!

  • You look amazing & I am so jealous of this pictures in the Laslett (tried to book a room a couple of weekends, but they were fully booked)!! I also find this outfit a great inspiration for the 70’s summer trend that will be continued during Fall/Winter 2016. I therefore featured this look in my selection of top bloggers who translated this trend best during summer: – I really hope you will appreciate this article! Xx Susanne

  • I absolutely must get myself some flares!! So glad to see these back in fashion!!!

  • I adore this look, not only as i’ve been wearing similar myself, but I always think flares with a heel elongate your legs (not that you need it, but I do, I’m only 5’6″!!).

The hotel has such a cool vibe. Although I don’t generally need to stay in London I’d definitely check it out for brunch.

    Hugs Adele xoxo

  • Okay, this whole look is everything. And your hair? I hate you for it (even though I’ve never met you). I love you. But I hate you. Can I just have those gorgeous locks?! You’re positively gorgeous in every way! Cheers, love!
