As Darkness Falls

You know the saying “Christmas came early!”

Well, last night something almost as excellent happened.

Halloween came early!

It was a works “do”. Gleam, one of my management teams, had their annual creepy, spooktacular shindig.

Bloggers and vloggers from all over the country made their merry way down to Leicester Square.

My partner in crime & I went along and snuck in a few snaps.

Obsessed with Jim’s inflatable wings! Not bad for under a tenner.

Double trouble.

Little Snooks!

Caspar the friendly… skeleton.

As I had all of 15mins to get ready, I opted for “Lace Face” stick ons, so I wouldn’t have to mess around with makeup. I have to say I really liked the effect!

My shoes are Louboutin, but check out these little dupes for a more wallet friendly version.

Apologies for not taking more pictures. I really wanted to go and document everyone’s awesome outfits, but got far too carried away dancing!

I’m still trying to figure out what to dress as for real Halloween… Do you have any ideas?

Have you seen these?

  • I have no idea what I want to dress up as for Halloween! I think my team is thinking about a team costume, specifically the Despicable Me minions haha πŸ˜› And then they’re going to party it up at one of the dorms, but I’m not really a party animal, so I’ll probably just be eating candy and watching a movie from my snug bed πŸ™‚ -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  • I LOVE the skeleton outfit. I’m thinking of going for an “dia de los muertos” look (mexican colourfull skull). Being creative with facepaint and flowercrowns.. x kayleigh // mylittlejeans

The face-lace stuff is great- I’ve used it before for masquerades and everything and it gives a really cool/differnt effect, although wouldn’t have expected to see a skeleton in it! =p

Hey rosie do not worry at all about the number of photos. This was a very fun post. I have to say Phoebe’s outfit is absolutely amazing! I am going to need one for myself πŸ˜€ Furthermore, earlier in a blog post, you mentioned that keeping up with peoples comments was difficult and that it took a lot of effort to find the time. Do not worry at all. We understand. Your blog is great and we all love it! And love the skeleton outfit too!

  • Sara Barnes

I love the jump suit! I’ll have to make myself something similar since that one is sold out! How well did the lace face hold up and how long did you have them on? I love the look of them! I wanna do a skeleton look for one of the 4 (4!!) parties I have to go to this year and my skin just can not tolerate face painting.

  • Those Louboutins are amazing! I wish I could dance in shoes like these but my sense of balance is pretty poor as it is, especially after a couple of champagne glasses ;). The skeleton outfit looks awesome on you, I could also see you rocking a super hero outfit like Catwoman, or Wonder Woman.

    • Rosie

I think you might be mistaken Ambika, sadly I’ve never received any post from you guys. I bought this online… but it was fab! x

      • Ambika Chainani

Oh no what a shame! We sent quite a few samples to Natalie Loukianos who was meant to forward these on to you as I thought you might like them (I read your blog on the daily and thought you’d like the quirky and quick effect!) but I’ve just called her and she said she hasn’t checked to see if they arrived even though we sent them weeks ago. If you’d like any more Face Lace to wear for any other occasions, please get in touch – we love seeing you in the brand!

      • Ambika Chainani

Glad you think they’re fab regardless! x

Hi Rose — Important question!!!!!!!! I feel like in the past I’ve read you tell us that you are around 5’8″. yet – the skeleton costume is a petite–> is it very stretchy? I absolutely ADORE it and would love to get it myself but I am also 5’8″ and don’t imagine it reaching my ankles if it’s a surefire petite fit.
