I'm finally out of hospital and recuperating back home.
Thankyou so, so much to everyone for all your kind words, they really meant so much to me in that miserable hospital room!
As I don't really have anything exciting to blog about from my week in bed, I thought I'd let my little iPhone do the talking and do an Instagram catch up.
I have an inkling I'm going to feel much better by the weekend so should be back to my snap-happy, blogger self by next week, but for now I hope this'll tide you over.
Let get going...
Miss Watson & I fell in love with the Ashish collection at Topshop.
My shirt here, Phoebe's here.
I settled down to re-read The Hobbit with an excellent sandwich.
Admired the loos at Sketch after a few cocktails.
And the loos at Loulou's (my new favourite night club).
Had an espresso & more than a few cookies...
Before wriggling into my dancing shoes again...
...and heading out to Rose with Phoebe & Kimberly.
She blogged about our adventures so if you feel like taking a little wonder with us, slide right in.
We ate and drank our way around sunny London town
Until she set sail again and headed back to her native Scandinavia.
I drove Miss Daisy around and my mum showed me this wonderful recipe in one of her old cook books.
(You can buy one here.)
This little guy needs no introduction.
The calm before the Notting Hill Carnival storm.
And the storm itself...
I ate my weight in Pizza at Story Deli with Coco.
Hanushka, Gabby & I enjoyed a spot of tea, followed by a few cocktails at The Arts Club and Harrods-ing for pudding.
I had the time of my life at Project.
And the most delicious bar snacks at The Ad Cod.
Marvelled at the blue moon (the second full moon in one month).
and packed the essentials for a weekend away.
Which never happened because I ended up here...
Thankfully when I got home after five whole days, this little guy was pretty happy to see me!
Since then I've been recuperating at home.
Eating lots and wondering around the garden in the sunshine.
Custard's been helping.
And while everyone else was getting ready and posting their glamourous Vogue Fashion Night Out pictures... I was dressed like this and heading to bed!
What can I say?
It may not be glamorous but you really cannot beat a onesie!

It's hidden amongst real recipes and more than a few brides to be commented saying they were going to read it at their weddings, which I think is schmadorable to say the least.
In other news, I discovered a new dreamy hot drink, which I call Skinny Molten Nutella.
And invested in a new fridge magnet.

DeleteThis thread made my day!!
DeleteBoth of you are hilarious...
<3
DeleteOk I just have to say this here.
DeleteRegardless of the other work Rosie does it always amuses me that people don't see blogging as work.
As a blogger you have to be a journalist, model, editor, content creator, agony aunt, web designer, social media genius and come up with enough 'cool shit' to keep an audience bigger than most TV shows interested - every day!
You're telling me that's not talent or work?!
Rosie has one of the biggest blogs in England (and it's pretty huge here in the US too, Jessica Simpson talked about it on Jay Leno!!) and she only started it a year ago.
What part of that is her "dicking about" Anonymous?
I think you're just a sad jealous coward.
Keep it up Rosie!
E xxx
Thankyou Ellie, you're too kind xx
DeleteI am glad you're feeling better, and great photos! I love IG!

DeleteLove the onesie! x
ReplyDeleteCan't beat a good onesie!
DeletePaha that last picture of custard is amazing! He has such 'human' facial expressions! Glad to hear that you are getting better, nothing worse than feeling rubbish, but maybe it is a good thing - having time to just slow down, catch up on sleep and eat lots :) xxx
ReplyDeleteHe's such a little smiler! I always think little dogs have the most character! x
DeleteDefinitely! x
DeleteSo glad that you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI have a question: Do you know anywhere descent not to pricey to stay in London while I look for a place? And also: What is reasonable to pay for a 1 bedroom flat in Notting Hill? I feel lost! Any kind of help would make me SO grateful!
Keep blogging lady, you're such an inspiration!
x
Hey Anon,
DeleteNotting Hill might not be your best option if you're only just moving to London. It's very expensive and you get a lot less for your money than you do elsewhere in the city.
If you're set on it though you can try www.rightmove.com
I drew an area on their map and had them send me updates every time a new property came online. This way you get them from every agent and have a better chance of finding a bargain.
The cheapest one bed I've seen was £1,600 a month.
Hope that helps!
xx
That espresso looks AMAZING, the molten nutella looks very interesting and I like your thinking! no words can explain how brilliant that fridge magnet is, it'd make me laugh every time and Custards little face is just adorable. I'm glad you're feeling better, and time at home must be lovely too. Looking forward to you feeling better so we can snoop at your fabulous life a bit more! xx
ReplyDeleteTruth about the onesie.

Thanks Sadie! x
DeleteHi Rosie! I'm sure you are going to think my comment is absolutely inappropriate, and it is; but I wonder if you could do some kind of post on how to make your "front girls" look and be amazing as yours do! I mean, ALL dresses look stunning on you! Me, on the other hand, I always have problems when I have so show a little more. Besides, I lost a few kilos and they don't look as good as they used to... So, any tips? And I'm really sorry if you totally think I'm the most inappropriate person in the world, but I had to ask. xx
ReplyDeleteHey Anna,
DeleteNo not inappropriate at all, we can talk about boobs all day long if you like! Boobs boobs boobs!
Sadly though I don't really have very much advice on the subject, I'm very lucky in that my mum has great boobs and I sort of inherited them.
I have very elastic skin (which makes having injections really difficult) but means that my boobs don't really... fall. Even if I lie down they pretty much stay there.
My boobs were huuuge at uni because I was a lot heavier then but as I've lost weight they've gotten smaller but still kept their shape.
All I can sugest is that you do some work on your pectoral muscles. Walk up to the wall and press your palms up against it, push it as hard as you can as if you're trying to move it away for 10 seconds then relax, repeat 10 times, then do the same tomorrow and the next day.
Next keep your hand on your hips and try and touch your elbows behind your back. You should feel a really great stretch, keep stretching for 10 seconds, then relax and do it another 10 times.
This will work the muscles behind your boobs and make them seem perkier and a bit bigger.
If all else fails, buy a Wonderbra, I've seen them work miracles!
Hope that helps! xx
Oh my! You are so sweet to answer! Thank you so much for the advice :) And I hope you feel much better! xx

ReplyDeletexx
Hi Rose,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're feeling better. I absolute love those flats with the skulls on them, can you remember where you bought them?
Love your blog!
Bella xx
So glad you're feeling better! I was in the hospital on and off when I was a kid with pneumonias and respiratory infections, so I know what a case of "hospitalitis" can to do someone! My advice for your recuperation: eat anything and everything you want, bead a bracelet, watch a new movie and make a craft!
ReplyDeletexx
Could you do a post of what you eat on your healthy days? Portion size etc?
ReplyDeleteI have been following the anti-diet/hunger scale but I still think that I am overeating/not eating the correct/nutritious things.
Much love
xxx
Where is your black dress from? You look amazing very classy!
ReplyDeleteJust have to say your blog is a life saver whilst working full time in my gap year
So thank you!
