DeleteWe've bunny hopped around Cannes!
We spent the first few days in a friends villa, then moved to a hotel on the rue d'antibes (right in the middle of cannes), we treated ourselves to a night in the Carlton just so we could experience it!
The hotel we're in now is actually the most ridiculous bargain and phoebe and I are sharing a double. You don't even want to see the mess our wardrobe's in! haha
If you're still interested I'll let you know the name when I get home, not too keen on giving out my address online!

It was an innocent question but I suppose some people have different opinions on what constitutes a "no-go zone" question. You were clearly impressed with the holiday and wanted to know whether you could afford to enjoy a holiday in Cannes yourself.
It's difficult to gauge exactly how much a holiday will cost. It's easy to find out how much flights and hotels might cost but sometimes the cost of entertaining yourself in a country isn't always clear. In those situations most people rely on word of mouth.
Perhaps if your question was from a place of pure nosiness, maybe it would be rude, but it didn't appear that way.

I was in Cannes quite literally a week ago, and I miss it so much already!! If you're ever back you should definately catch the train to Monaco - totally worth the visit. The old town there, as it is in Cannes, is absolutely beautiful if not a little more touristy, but amongst the many souvenir shops there are some stunning boutiques :) Loved the post and I hope you enjoyed your time in Cannes as much as I did! My sister and I are already planning a return trip there next year - Cannot wait :)

ReplyDeleteAh I remember when I visited Cannes last year, it was so beautiful, I absolutely loved it. I only visited for the day as I was staying in Nice for my holiday but visited many locations in the Cote d'Azur region. Cannes was by far my favourite. I haven't even read all of your Cannes posts yet but I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures! I remember visiting that same ice cream parlour with a friend though didn't try one myself - they looked fab though. Love the boat dress by the way.
