Ibiza, Day Three

Easter Sunday is usually reserved for leisurely family breakfasts, dippy eggs, bucks fizz & lashings of chocolate.
Not in Ibiza.
This Easter we celebrated with with an all day party at The Blue Marlin (Ibiza's answer to Nikki Beach).
Trays of shots, gallons of wine & some of the best fish I've ever had replaced our usual Easter eggs.
Not a bad trade if you ask me!

"Thiiiiis big!"

Outrageously good octopus carpaccio

Burrata Mozzerella

Gazpacho & jamon serano

Beautifully cooked squid & asparagus

Turbot, served simply with olive oil & salt (my favourite)

We didn't leave until the early hours of Monday morning.
Tipsy, tanned & very happy.
Surely that's what Jesus would have wanted?

Your photographs are beautiful and so smile inducing (especially as I am reading your post in the midst of a thunder storm on the south coast)! Oh, and your dress is so pretty, the blue and white just looks so fresh and lovely together, is it a recent purchase and if so, would you mind sharing where you uncovered it?

    Thank you,

That's a bit of a fuckwitty comment. Why read her blog if you think that?

Jealous, or just an absolute tosspot, clearly.

have you heard of the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" rule ? she just puts up photos of whatever takes her fancy like every other blogger. doesn't mean we should actually need to know about her life. if you feel like you do, then maybe you should think about why you read this blog? some of you people online are seriously wierd....

    4. Disgruntled ex-boyfriend or bitter jealous female? It has to be one of the two because that was far too hateful to be completely random. Her life is extravagant, fun, beautiful and she is one VERY lucky girl but it seems as though she would be the first to admit it. The reason people like her blog is because her life is so extravagant and luxurious gives us a break from our boring normal 9-5 ones.

Sorry but do all these anon comments seem a bit middle eastern?
What? Rosie isnt allowed out of the house without a boyfriend?
Is it unthinkable that she have male friends and be aloud to DRINK & wear bikinis out of the house??
She could be a raging lesbian for all I care, she has a great blog and can choose to date who she wants. If you don't like her now she's single, DONT READ IT!
I for one look forward to the loved up posts she's sure to write when she does fall in love and oooohhh the wedding posts!
But until then, BUTT THE FUCK OUT.

While I definitely agree that the mean-spirited comments should not occur, your usage of "middle eastern" as a euphemism for shaming the blogger/being catty is quite offensive. It homogenizes Middle Eastern culture and sheds a light on how troubling and problematic the Western's portrayal of the Middle East is... It is not all acid-throwing and slut-shaming. In fact, much of this occurs in the Western world as well. In fact, it is more insidious and underhanded--which, I can argue, is almost worse. While it's nice that you are defending the blogger and, in general, a woman's right to do whatever the fuck she wants (if this was a guy going out and partying with girls, I highly doubt such catty comments would occur--but such sexual double standards between guys and gals are another matter), you are also acting quite prejudiced and xenophobic in using "middle eastern" as a way to describe a shaming behavior.

      Just a thought.

    3. Thankyou for sticking up for me!
Although I'm not sure middle eastern is quite the right way to put it. Let's just say it's all very 1940s, shall we? x

I have been to The Blue Marlin before, not sure if I enjoyed it so much. Yes, the sun was shining and the fizz was flowing but I got an overall sense that the place was quite tacky. Didn't think the food was that great (apart from some grilled gambas!), there was a few unsavoury characters snorting coke on every available flat surface and I thought the beach as ruined with the way the sun loungers were packed in, almost touching. However, where there are friends, there is fun.
