Last week the boy & I popped over to Greece, for a long weekend.
We were working from home, feeling a little blue, looking at the miserable weather outside & wondering what to have for lunch.
I mentioned that I could murder calamari, baked feta and an enormous glass of wine, by the beach.
He laughed and said, let's do it!
We booked our hotel and hopped on a plane that night.
No planning, no guidebooks, just a bag full of bikinis and our laptops.
Utter bliss.
Live clams. These are my new favourite things.
They taste like the sea and wriggle when you squeeze lemon on them (which makes me feel mildly barbaric!)
George, the lizard.
Chicken gyros. A drunken decision, which judging by the next picture, I rather enjoyed!
View from the hotel.
My beautiful new coral.
Native lava beads being strung.
I've come home brown, freckly and about a stone heavier.
The best weekend I've ever had.
