My recent low calorie recipe posts, may have alerted you to the fact that I'm trying to cut back.
I've been pretty good, lots of sushi and steamed dim sum, instead of my usual mountains of Slutty Brownies infront of the tv.
But the truth is, no matter how good you are, no matter how iron-clad your will power may be... we all need a little treat now and then.
Supposedly the trick to a healthy lifestyle is to be 80%good, 20%bad.
My treat? My cheat? My indulgence of choice?
Ladurée macaroons.

Ladurée macaroons.
Beautiful, sweet, gooey, crumbly, decadent and all wrapped up in tissue paper, and the trademark little green box.
If you can't afford a little blue box from Tiffany's, treat yourself to a little green box from Ladurée.
Absolutely no sharing allowed.

Ugh, I am totally with you on this one - Laduree macarons are my number one indulgence of choice, and we all deserve a treat once in the while, no matter how healthy we might be 80% of the time!
ReplyDeleteI love these Macarons! The patisserie equivalent of CRACK!
ReplyDeleteI tried these for the first time a few days ago! They are so yummy!

These look so incredibly good! I've never actually had some, I just by my macarons wherever I happen to be when I'm at my house in France!
ReplyDeleteHow much are they? I'm going to Paris at Christmas...
ReplyDeleteAlso any good beauty buys I should get whilst I'm there?
I'm afraid these are from Laudree in Harrods, my love.
ReplyDeleteI wisshhh I'd popped over to Paris to pick them up!
As for beauty buys... I suggest anything by Chanel or Mac and black mascara by Bourjois.

Oh these look so good. I did a post asking the question 'am I missing out' as so many people are blogging about them and I am still yet to try them.
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to see if I can track them down in my area.
You don't need to diet!!

YUM! I love macarons. I just tried a Pierre Hermé one in Selfridges - salted caramel - possibly the best thing I've ever eaten. EVER. *drool*

I will definitely be paying Lauderee a visit when I'm in Paris next week!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Pierre Herme macarons? They have a London store, Knightsbridge. I prefer them above all others! :)
ReplyDeleteMacroons are the hardest thing to find in the States, especially the delicious raspberry ones. I wish I had hoarded more when I was in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! Macarons are the only thing I prefer over chocolate (and that's saying something). Though, have you ever tried Pierre Herme's macarons? Personally, I think they're even better - once you've tried them, you won't go back!
ReplyDeleteIts really yummy and good for health Ebastine while i complete agree on this but sometime i like diet some ignore unless oily things which are not good for health.
